The Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is chartered to raise money and donate to worthy causes in furtherance of the giving spirit of Gotham City Networking’s members. The Foundation is a pass through and there are only minimal expenses such as credit card fees, filing and IRS fees. The Gotham Foundation has a charitable protocol through which each of Gotham City Networking’s groups may adopt a favorite charity and use the Foundation as a means to make a group donation to a chosen organization. The Foundation also has an annual Gotham Season of Giving through which money is raised and distributed distributed in grants to charities nominated by donors and chosen by lottery.
Since the Foundation’s 2003 beginning, funds have been raised for many very worthy causes.
Please be aware that in order for charities to receive a donation through the Foundation, they must be 501(c)(3) charities and, for those receiving grants from the Season of Giving, they must not have received a grant from the Foundation in the past four years.
